The Beginning

How It All Began

DAV Sanskriti School opened its doors in Spring 1994 as Dayanand Arya Vedic School — named after the great Swami Dayanand Saraswati and the illustrious Vedic Sanskriti (culture) of Aryavarta. It was initiated by Acharya Praveen (Gulati) ji with the blessings of Shri Ram Chand Mahajan ji, at the old Arya Samaj Building of The Mehtas at Hwy 6N.

The first class comprised of only six children. Acharya ji began teaching Hindi and Naitik Shiksha to a combined group of children of different ages, with sports activities by Kusum Vyas ji. A Music class by Kamala Mahendru ji was added soon thereafter.
